Moving Hands SRP $29.95
This moves like a real hand. It includes a hand cut from mylar, the circuit board and
components to make the control electronics, Muscle Wires® with
crimped lead wires to connect to the circuit board, and instructions. When completed
this hand moves quietly and surprisingly realistically. It is available in three colors-
Green Monster, Purple Robot, and Human.
This falls in our "deceptively educational" category. You put it together to have this cool
device, but in the process you can't help learning something about electronics, and tools, and
Muscle Wire®, and leverage and forces.
Kids are fascinated by it because its
movement is so unusually lifelike (smooth and quiet), and appears to move by itself. All there are
are a some wires. None of the motors, pulley, cables, and gears you would expect. Because of that
we also consider it part of our "Impossible Products" series.
